Elf jaar naar de eerste succesvolle landing van mensen op Mars, is de tijd aangebroken om die rode planeet te bedwingen. NASA biedt steeds meer groepen speciaal geselecteerde mensen aan om Mars te ontdekken en te ontginnen. Als beloning mogen die mensen hun familieleden over laten komen.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>En steeds meer mensen hopen op deze vrijkaart om de steeds smeriger en onleefbaar wordende thuiswereld achter te laten. Alle klimaatakkoorden ten spijt, het wil maar niet lukken om zuiniger met de hulpbronnen om te gaan voor die 8,8 miljard mensen die allemaal hun aandeel in de toegenomen welvaart willen.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jullie vormen zo&#8217;n groep. NASA is benieuwd naar jullie plannen voor het kolonialiseren van jullie toegewezen sector 42010 van 100 x 100 km, onder de koepels van Mars. De koepels verschaffen de primaire levensbehoeften als zuurstof, warmte en van tijd tot tijd neerslag. Aan jullie om het je thuis te maken. Of niet.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In de eerste scene worden door de archetypes (gespeeld door de deelnemers) op het hoofdkantoor van NASA gevraagd de nederzetting te ontwerpen en de doelen te bepalen.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Daarna wordt in de tweede scene, na een reis van zes maanden, vlak voor de aankomst op Mars duidelijk dat de omstandigheden zijn veranderd. Hoe worden de plannen hierop aangepast?<\/p>\n<p>Tot slot word in de derde en laatste scene gekeken of de nieuwe community voldoende functioneert en haar doelen heeft gehaald. Zo ja dan worden de nieuwe Marsbewoners beloond met het laten overkomen van hun familie.
