ERFGOED GELDERLAND BREAK-IN BOX

Arriving at the museum, there is a huge box waiting for you, with an address label with your name on it?!?!? What is this now? And the sender, who is unknown. The sender's address looks like an online store. But which one? And there are no less than six locks on that box. And a lot of stickers. Come on, let's get to work!

The Erfgoed Gelderland Break In Box is closely linked to the Erfgoed Gelderland Escape Route, but can be played independently of the route by participants.

Overarching narrative Escape Box and Escape Route

• The Collector tried to program an AI that could predict the future of Gelderland with a high degree of certainty based on all the Stories of Gelderland (history). To do this, he worked in or was associated with various museums to collect the information.
• This AI has come to the conclusion that the majority of people care nothing about history and learn nothing from it for the future. Therefore, the logical next step for the AI is to erase the history of Gelderland. The Story of Gelderland is in danger of being erased, both digitally, but also through actions offline!
• The collection of the Gelderland museums is where this 'Rogue' AI has started removing stories and objects. The collection is in danger!
• The Collector is ashamed of this and no longer dares to show up in those museums. He asks the players to help him stop the AI. But of course those players must have something to do with the Story of Gelderland. Through the Escape Box, he tests potential help.
• By securing masterpieces from a number of museums and feeding their story to the AI through the "backdoor" that the Collector has programmed into the AI's program, the AI can be stopped step by step. The players have an important mission to accomplish!
